Nisantasi in Istanbul is the perfect place for New Year’s Eve. The streets are beautifully decorated and closed to traffic. The put a red carpet down the center of the street so you can feel like you are really going to the premier of a New Year. We had dinner at the House Hotel in the middle of the festivities, so we were off the street but we could watch all the action and there was a very nice fireworks display at 1200.
Happy New Year from Sophisticated-Travel
Buyukada Prince\’s Island We went to Buyukada and did the 1 kilometer hill straight up to see St. George’s monastery. It was definitely worth it. Beautiful church and the views were spectacular.
